In 2011, Nikki Look opened Massage Bar Harbor on Cottage Street. It has since grown and expanded to 77 Mount Desert Street with a team of 10 talented licensed massage therapists, an Acupuncturist, Medical Massage Therapist, Aesthetician, and Nail Tech.
This new convenient downtown location offers private parking to customers. On site there is an infrared sauna and spa suite where you can stay and enjoy the new the luxurious services, all while being within walking to distance to everything Bar Harbor has to offer. Nikki is very excited about this expansion and invites you to come and check out the new spa!

Nikki has been a practicing massage therapist since 2005. She grew up in Milbridge Maine, but always had an undeniable love for Mount Desert Island. In 2011 she fulfilled her dream and moved her practice 50 miles to Bar Harbor where Massage Bar Harbor was born.
Nikki has a background in both clinical and spa massage settings and a passion for energy work. Her lifelong dream to be part of this community and serve others is fulfilled each day through her work as a body worker on this magical island. Jennifer holds a BS in Applied Mathematics, MS in Computer Science and a Master’s level degree in Acupuncture from the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. She is licensed in the state of Maine to practice acupuncture.(license #AC598) and Massage. She is also certified as a Diplomate by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Jennifer has continued her training in classical Chinese medicine by frequently attending workshops taught by the esteemed Jeffery Yuen. Jennifer uses a unique combination of acupuncture, cupping and medical massage for results that are both effective and long lasting.
Donna has been a practicing Massage Therapist in Bar Harbor since graduating from the Downeast School of Massage Therapy in July of 2001. The primary focus of her work is to create space and movement in the body anywhere there is compression and restriction. She believes that easing these somatic constraints with thoughtful soft tissue work can increase physical and mental well being. Donna is inspired by the uniqueness of each individual, the way our structures adapt as we journey through this world, and the strength and resilience of the human spirit. She is blessed to be raising her family on this beautiful island.
Stephanie was born and raised in Missouri. Her affinity for exploration and travel brought her to Maine. She has been practicing massage therapy since 2016, but also has a background in exercise science and education. After being in the classroom for several years, Stephanie now enjoys being able to focus all of her attention on each client individually. Her goal is to provide a therapeutic massage that activates the body's relaxation response while also targeting and releasing musculoskeletal restrictions, allowing her clients live and function optimally.
As a dancer since age 3, Maxeen has studied movement and anatomy her complete life. Since age 17 Maxeen owned her own dance/exercise studio which included programs for treatment centers including Hayelton, Twin Town, Anthony Lewis and others. Her career path led her to do massage where she specialized in Myofascial (MFR) work, cranio sacral and essential oils. Maxeen's love of teaching has allowed her to teach in Virginia and Maine massage schools and independently. A great love of hers is MFR on the equine. She continues to study and educate in her spare time, Maxeen wrote "Kimberly's Courage".
The son of a massage therapist, massage has always been a regular part of life for Galen. Galen’s experience with physical labor, as well as the strong impact his mother’s career made on him, eventually brought him from organic vegetable farming to massage.
Galen believes that, as the client, you are the one who knows best what your body needs in order to feel better. Whether it’s a full body relaxation massage, a focused deep tissue, or anything in between, he is here to work with you to meet your needs the way you want them met.
While in high school Tanielle worked as a physical therapy aide, and loved her job. Life took her through six years in the USAF and a bachelors degree in accounting before deciding to return to what she enjoyed most, therapy. A graduate from Acadia school of massage she has a passion to help facilitate healing in the body She has a love for her two girls, pup and beaches.
Meet Whitney, she is a native to the island. On her free time she enjoys horseback riding in Acadia National Park. Whitney graduated from the Acadia School of Massage in 2016. Her talents are strongest with deep tissue and Prenatal massage.
Jennifer's educational background started in the sciences, as she holds a bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics and a masters degree in Computer Science. She spent about 15 years (at UNC Chapel Hill and Duke University) developing software and running research studies applying technology to improve outcomes in healthcare.
Her experiences running research studies influenced her decision to switch careers and devote herself to the study of Chinese Medicine and how it could best improve health through its holistic approach.
Jennifer attended a 4-year master's level program in Chinese Medicine at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine and has continued her studies over the past 8 years with Jeffery Yuen (a noted national expert in Classical Chinese Medicine). Her other areas of interest include Myofascial Release (John Barnes techniques and workshops) and Cranial Acupuncture which is helpful for addressing neurological problems (studying the work of Dr. Jason and Linda Hao).

She also obtained an Esthetics license through the Aveda Institute of Maine and plans to keep furthering her education in the spa industry.
